The list mechanism does NOT look at messages or message content so it
has no mechanism for scanning emails for virus infected attachments. It
simply redirects the received mail to the names on a list.
Equis can not guarantee virus free messages. The only people who can do
that are the list members themselves. IF you scan your received messages
for virus attachments, you won't send email to the list with a virus
attached. If you scan the attachment on each message you receive before
you open it, you won't proliferate the virus to someone else.

Sowould whoever is the administrator of this list comment on whether
they scan message posts for viruses?
Seems like it should be a simple thing to automate, though I have never
tried it myself.
If this list is sponsored by Equis, I DEFINITELY feel they should
guarantee that any message posts sent out are virus-free.
