RE: Some indicators should work....

I would LOVE to test a moving average system where the period changes as a
result of measuring something like the ROC. eg.

Indicator = Mov(Opt1 / ROC(..),...)

i.e. you want to reduce MA period when market is fast.

With MS - FORGET IT!

(obviously the is a DIVZERO prob. here but you get the idea.)

"One fundamental problem with static indicators like MACD or moving average
etc is that most of them are linear."

What are the alternatives to these basic indicators? It seems reasonable to
have to keep changing the *parameters* of the indicators, as market
conditions change. Of course it would be terrific finding a more dynamic,
'non-linear' system.

Has anyone come up with such an animal, that can be incorporated into
MetaStock?

Thanks,
Nicholas
