I use "PingPlotter" (http://www.nessoft.com/pingplotter/) to see a
real-time, graphical chart of the speed my connection to a variety of
servers on the net. The utility shows you the number of routers (hops)
between you and the destination server and it will show you where any
slowdown is coming from. Highly recommended.

Subject: Internet Speeds

Anyone notice that the internet is slow tonight? I am noticing "ping"
numbers around 125ms to symantec.com. Anybody have an idea if that is a
good rate for cable modems?

thanks in advance,
