Some comments, since this is a Metastock list and I think many of us do
also use other TA programs.

This parameter doesn't really "tell" anything. It's just a passive Windows
95 system setting somewhere many TA programs do ignore for obvious reasons
(Parity 1.5, SuperCharts, TradeStation, Metastock 5.11, TAS obviously, etc).
The not year2000 ready Metastock 6.x versions do only support 20th century
date. There is no way to minimize the impact of the Y2K problem by the
suggested Win95 setting change.
More, the year2000 ready Metastock 6.52 version is supposed to support both
1800-2200 and 30-29 (1930-1929), ie to also operate on 2-char date settings.
