Below are the results of our weekly "Guess the Dow" sentiment
survey. The survey was taken from 3/1 through 3/7 on the
Lowrisk.com web site.

Number of participants: 438

30 day outlook:

40% bullish, 42% last week
34% bearish, 37% last week
26% neutral, 21% last week

(percentages may not sum to 100 due to rounding)

Median guess for the DJIA closing value on Friday, 3/12: 9482 (it
was 9380 last week). More complete sentiment data is available at
<http://www.lowrisk.com/sentiment.htm> .

A very interesting week on the sentiment front. Last week saw the
market test the bottom of its two month old trading range, and then
reverse to test the top of that range. This left participants in our
sentiment survey with less conviction in their market outlook. Both
the bulls and bears lost ground this week, while the neutral camp
picked up 5% to end at 26%. It was somewhat surprising that with the
DJIA closing the week at a new all time high, bullish sentiment
actually dropped for the week. This gives this week's numbers a
slightly bullish bias. But the overwhelming outlook that we see in
these sentiment numbers is less conviction and more volatility.
