Ken, yes, I have read this message. I have MS v5.11. I was thinking in
getting the Sept. offer $10.00. Do you think this will be wise?. From this
end I agree with one of the member's message that mentioned that with so
many apparent problems with the MS patch, it might be better to wait for the
"mother of all patches". Ken, what is your situation? Have you installed the
2k patch? What MS version do you have? MB

I don't think you have followed and/or read all the information we have
posted over the last few months. It has been in the Monitor and on our
web site. I didn't say we didn't "give a good damn." I said we won't
support the program any more.
The company decision was to not make any version prior to 6.52 Y2K
compliant. We set a version level and have not kept it a secret. Most
software companies are not fixing older versions of their software for
many reasons, not the least of which is costs involved.
I am not telling you not to use the program. I am telling you, as
stated publicly before, that we are not going to support it anymore. I
also am not telling you it will or won't work properly. I am telling
you that we are not supporting it and therefore have not tested it
against Y2K data.
Companies must draw the line somewhere. We are not supporting anything
prior to version 6.52 for Y2K compatibility.
We are also not trying to make money on the Y2K issue. Here is a
letter, also to be published publicly, which we have been sending to
people who ask about the Y2K issue. In it, we state that you can get
version 6.52 without manuals for $10.00 beginning September 1, 1999 no
matter what version of MetaStock you currently own.

Let's make sure I understand your message, For several years, I've been
using MS Vers 4.0 for all my commodity and stock charts==beautiful
charts-- totally satisfied. Now you tell me that after 31 Dec 99, my
program may not work, and you don't particularily give a good damn.
Doesn't sound much like the Bill Forman I had the pleasure of meeting
several years ago. He took the time and trouble to sit down with me and
make sure that my MS program would work. Well--times and people change.
