I have a PCI dual monitor card from Appian Graphics(though probably paid too
much as I'm finding out) but their tech suport helped me for an hour adjust
the registry correctly because the old card in my Compaq can't be physically
removed. Part of problem was that Win95 was too dumb to care which video
card was installed, but Win98 wants to always reinstall the old card even
though deleted from the system profile. Eventually Win98 gets the message
and "allows" the new dual monitor card to be installed, now my system works.
Hope this helps somewhat, don't give up there is a solution. Russ
