Yet another patch problem

Okay, so I was a little slow downloading the patch for MS6.5. But I
finally did. I tried to upgrade the MS6.5 in my home computer and office
computer, with the same results: the patch never successfully completed
the process, i.e. I did not get one of those wonderful "congratulations"
messages in either place (and both computers are configured very
differently -- one on a network, and lots of other differences). When I
tried to open the program, I got an error message saying the the file
MS65SYNTX.DTA either does not exist or is the wrong version. Now, I can't
use The Explorer, the System Tester, custom indicators, and a few other
things!

I finally reached tech support after being on hold for half an hour (and
I'm not in the U.S.), only to be told to reboot and try again. Needless
to say, it didn't help.

Did any of you have this problem? More to the point, do any of you have
the solution?

Thanks,
Gila
