I am dumbfounded on why I have not heard more negativism concerning E-Trade.
I started with Datek about 2 years ago but left when they had taken on too
many clients too soon. E-Trade was pretty good for the first 3 quarters last
year but since then it has been all downhill. I take it the advertising
blitz has just overwhelmed everyone and created a false positive atmosphere.
Market orders take forever for confirmation. Limits never get the best price
because I monitor all my orders with DTNIQ real time. The Web site is not
accessible during busy trading so forget getting any kind of fill.
Incidentally I am transferring a large amount of cash back into DATEK. I use
to love the superb immediate confirmations. Like they say, you never know
how good you have it until it's gone.
