I have the DL6.52 installed and no problems whatsoever.
Actualy anyone, except for the
-by Equis 'documented exceptions like the Download Tool users'-
can for the better, install this version over the old one (after backing up the older
version first, ofcourse).
Now the -enter the data folder- problem, a suppose fix :
Aren't you (in the DL) trying to "Open" a sec-folder, while AT THE same time you
are also using/running MS to display securities from THAT same folder?
If so, shut down the(se) chart(s) or the MS program first, before entering in that
'working' folder.
(this was a fix for this 'minor' problem in the older DL-version(s) as well)
When MS(or DL/any program for that matter) are accessing a Metastock datafolder
4x nusance files are 'temp' created, which files stops any other program from entering
on the datafiles, until these 4x files are 'closed', actualy they will vanish when closing
down 'regurlaly' the MS or DL program.
Programs capable to read/write to Metstock files, like DL and MS, can create these very
irritating files, and are also the only programs capable to 'clean up after' (eg delete/vanish)
them on closing.
You can also manualy delete them, just look in the by program last attended working folder
for 4x files starting with the wave charcter(" ~ ") and delete them.
If the above is not your problem, then dicribe your conversion-job to the full extend, so for
others to get a better 'picture' what you are doing(or not doing).

Ton Maas
