You can use Laplink or pcAnywhere to do a PC to PC xfer of files. It
involves installing the software on both PC's and a hardwire connection
between both PC's. Or you can install the software for a removable disk
(i.e. Sparq or SyJet using a parallel port connection) on both PC's and copy
the files onto that removable disk and transfer them to the new PC. A side
benefit of that is the offline backup you create. You may not be 100%
successful in that approach especially for applications that needs the Setup
or Install routine to function properly. If you have original cd's of
applications, you can install the old version, go to their website and
download any new updates directly into the new PC. Hope that helps.
