UG,
After I had been trading for and failing at it. I ran across some one who
had told me that he would watch one or two stocks all year long, day after
day. Very boring at times. But he said that he has a feel for what the stock
is doing and can do.

After a trading a stock for some time I have found that it is easier to
follow a (several) stock(s) closely. Part of it is psychological - I made
money this time I can make money next time (because I made the right
decisions). Each stock has their own personality and by learning something
about it, takes some pressure off because I become familiar with it. The
other is time. I have to do a little bit of home work on a stock before I
get in. I don't want to jump in short if in tomorrow's news has them bought
out at a premium, etc.
