RE: Reliable EOD stock quotes vendor ?

I have been testing Prophet for about 10 days now. Don't do stocks other
than 2 that I follow. I am using their system that lets me use Downloader.

My experiences are as follows:

First, I have had some questionable data. 9/14 high for T Bonds was wrong!
At least when compared to the WSJ and my other data vendor (CompuServe).
Their response was inane to say the least.

Second, their S&P Continuous data is clearly suspect. S&P data is recorded
in tenths. Their continuous file shows hundredths. E-mailed them, three
times this week with no response. Called and received some support from
Brenda, but all of my problems are still unresolved.

Finally, when I download my data, the Downloader requests the data but I
only receive indices and my 2 stocks. No futures data. Here I've tried 2
different things. By using my CompuServe provider, all of those futures
with the same symbols are downloaded immediately. Indicates no Downloader
problem. If I go in and delete yesterday's prices for all of the futures,
bingo, the missing futures data appears. Traded e-mails with Equis and sent
copies to Prophet.

I'm going to give it a few more days then either cancel or switch to their
data software which Steve Karnish uses without problems. The data integrity
worries me.

I may also look at tsbd or whatever their name is <G>.

Regards

Guy
