Al,
Careful what you say about Arkansas. After all, we managed to ship our
problems to Washington so now they are your problems too. Arkansas really
isn't a bad place to live provided you're not too interested in making a
living. The economy here is permanently weak.
You can't fool me about California either! I've lived in Brea, Santa Maria,
and San Diego (sequentially, not simultaneously). The cost of living is
higher there than here, primarily due to housing costs and taxes, although
Arkansas doesn't have particularly low taxes. However, the cost of living
in CA isn't astronomical. I like CA and maybe one day I'll move back. If
you would just teach me how to make a lot of money fast, I could move back
soon.
