I don't know about the day trading stuff but how
did you get that clock to do that. LOL.
Ok on the serious side. You will want to chart the
market - DJIA, NASDAQ and maybe S&P 500 in 5
minute intervals. Candlesticks works well. Also up
/down volume ratio on both exchanges. Also tick
and total volume.
Next the stock - whew where am I going to find the
room to put all this. Well get win98 and a couple
video cards and a couple cheep gray scale monitors
and you are set.
Ok. Now for the easy part. Use a 20 period
bollinger band on a candlestick chart and a 20
period bollinger band on a line chart of the
close. Also look at the tick and volume. Also
watch the trades go buy trade by trade.
Now for the hard part. Look for patterns that
exist during the day and then make the comparisons
with what went on with the EOD data.
Not much detail but a start. If you want to
explore these further ask. I don't have MS Pro but
I do have a real-time data feed and watch the
market all day. Just waiting for a different data
provider and the price for me to come down.
