This is the reply that I got from Equis:
The update only applies to the current version 6.5 or higher and it is
free. The earlier version 6.0 version will not be updated. We offer an
upgrade to version 6.5, the upgrade is not free.
The upgrade is a new program version and it contains all of the new 6.5
program features along with a new set of program manuals etc. Once you
have the 6.5 upgrade you also qualify for the free update file when it
released in September or October.
