I'm sure many of you are subscribers to the FastTrack List, as am I. Perhaps
only those that did so sent messages, but my impression is that a large number
of Trackers got out of the Market during the last half of July , apparently a
very wise move. This was based on Market Internals as investigated by Third
Party programs that work off the FastTrack data base. The warning signals that
were given were loud and clear in my opinion.
How about this List? I have not heard nearly as much talk as to the General
Market and the need to depart for awhile. Did a lot go to Cash or partly to
Cash before this down move? Have many gone to an outright shorting position?
If so, what was this action based on? On what Indicators will you rely for a
reentry point? Do you think it wise to search out securities that may make
counter moves to a decline in the of the General Market and play this? Looking
at the Adv Dec Line it would appear that the General Market has been in a down
trend for some time. I know on many days when the Indexes were up substantially
I lost money in my Portfolio.
Times like these will come time and again. As professed Market Timers we must
master them or have our collective heads handed to us. Perhaps there is
something to be learned here.
