That's similar to the response I received regarding OLE.  It appears that
Microsoft controls that as well and that Equis just goes along for the ride.
The problem with this is that in maintaining Office 97 compatibility you
surrender your ability to control your own product development.  Most
companies, in making the decision to maintain this compatibility (and I'm
not saying this is wrong), would realize that they have the responsibility
to insure the continuing functionality of their software.  If Microsoft
drops certain features that Equis was using, then it seems to me that Equis
has the responsibility for making improvements to make sure these features
are still included in their software.

Just my opinion.

Sorry I did mean chart tips. And as one of the beta testers for MS 6.5
it was explained to me that Microsoft had control over the code for the
chart tips and Equis had none. The conversation begain because the chart
tips dissappeared to quickly in the beta version. And that was the
response that I received.
