Thou it might work, it was a goof in this context, Al ;)
  '\' is the escape char in C and derived languages (awk, perl, etc.), so
you need two to slip one by the C parser.

What is the reason for the extra backslash, i.e. C:\\.....I have seen this
before in MS material, but never knew the rationale.
