Re: Is MetaStock for Real Traders?

I think they face a problem of balancing the desires of the really active TA
users and traders and those of a majority of their customers, who have never
tapped the power of the software.

Some only chart the stocks they own (investors), a majority probably never
perform system test, period. So many have not applied themselves to learning
the theories of TA, if it is not "canned" in the program, they don't use it.
The "power" users are in the minority.

Speak out about the deficentcies and show there are enough users that want
a change. Here comes MSWIN RT. and we are stuck with one data source,
Signal. Why didn't they use the universal data server process and give us
at least 5 sources? I remain amazed at their decisions, yet I applud their
charting, formula building features.

Questions of the week to Equis? Why should there be a limit placed on the
number of files in a directory? Why can't you like Advanced Get use a simple
technique to draw all Metastock files into your program by their location?
So by typing symbol, any of 18,000+ charts can be put in seconds.

When and how will MSWIN become Y2K compliant? Will we be restricted even
more to the limited choice of data vendors by your "fix"? Will we be
blackmailed to use only vendors that have a business relationship with
Equis?
