Sorry Arun,
Currently it looks like the only feed it supports is DBC's
Signal. Signal is a really quality real time feed. I have been
using their service since they made real time quotes available
on the internet (Signal Online). I have had only one period, of
about one hour, of data interruption.
MetaStock Professional is pretty slick. As a beta tester I can
attest to most of the Equis claims. Using the "linear
regression slope" (14 periods) indicator, combined with a 5
period "Sto", I was able to use the combination to extract "many
pennies" daytrading index futures this week. I love the
backtesting features in 6.5, but never really applied them for
the intraday data. My biggest complaint was that you have to
"build" your data and can't download previous "intraday" data.
This limitation handicaps one's ability to do extensive
research. I started with a live feed in the early seventies
using Commodity Quote Graphics. As the users of MS RT can
probably tell you, if you have a market with any decent volume
(i.e., indexes), technical indicators perform really well
intraday. This week's volatility is what daytraders pray for.
The price for the new software seems a bit high, but if you
can't pay for the software with a couple of well timed intraday
trades....then, maybe daytrading isn't your cup of tea.
Some folks have to work for a living and can't monitor the
market in real time. The markets are my work. Any weapon I can
apply to seek an edge is an advantage for me and my clients.
Equis isn't perfect, but they keep trying to perfect their
products. It's a competitive field out there. I guess we
should all keep bitchin' about their software imperfections and
keep lending support to each other through this list. In the
meantime, MS Pro gets a thumbs up from me. If you have any
questions about DBC, Signal Online, or MetaStock Professional,
call me at 1-800-540-2920.
