I do have the Mertastock RT. I purchased it about four months ago.  My
reason were I wanted a low cost way to get into doing Real time trades.  All
of the window base RT software on the mkt were very expensive (over $1500)
and the MS RT  I believe was about $200.
The SW is fair to avg.  Do not expect anything more than getting simple real
time low resolution chart in simple dos base windows.  Also, only Signal
Cable box support the data feed. So your choice of data feed is one.
So given the initial price it not a bad deal. But you get what you pay for
