Just in case someone from the group would have an interest, for all the help I
have received, priority goes to this group first.
To many computers, and so few hands. I have for sale a Compaq Laptop Computer.
It is the model LTE 386s/20 and is in excellent condition. It was last used a
number of years ago and then put away in closet for safe keeping. I am cleaning
up and selling items that I haven't used in the last year and this is one of the
items. I turned it on and see that it has DOS 6.22 along with Windows 3.11.
I can say, the unit works perfectly, and comes with two batteries, ( I don't
know the condition on the batteries after being idle for so long, ) I also have
the SetUp / Diagnostics Diskette ( Ver 8.0 ) for it. It does have 6 Megs of RAM
( 2 Meg on the main board and a 4 Meg Kingston PCMCIA Card ). It has all the
usual ports and also has another PCMCIA slot open for a modem to be added.
Here would be an inexpensive way to monitor the Internet Stock Quote Programs,
or the various Quote Ticker Bar programs that are available.
My thinking is for $150 it shouldn't be a problem selling it ( please note that
SHIPPING is extra ) but if it is, then I will be open for Best Offer. This is an
excellent unit for someone who would like portability, without the expense, for
someone on the go, but needs to keep in touch.
