I have been using Win98 Betas for over a year and have installed the release
version on a number of machines from Laptops to Pentiums without incident.
It is certainly more stable than Win95, and runs all applications as well as
or faster than Win95. From a support and reliability point of view it is
definitely worth upgrading. I also believe it makes life easier for the user
as well.

There is only one exception that I have encountered and that is Metastock
V6.5 which does not correctly display Chart Tips under Win98. It has had
this problem through the betas and the release Win98. Equis Support
acknowledge this problem running under the release Win98, and say they are
working on the problem. They will not provide a date for a fix or even if a
fix will be made available.

They have suggested keeping an eye on the Tech Support Files area of their
web site. This is
where any change files would be posted.

Regards
Ian
