I'd be interested in what you come up with. I have been using the MetaStock
Club on CompuServe longer than I can remember and download about 30 prices
nightly. Cost me about $30/month.
I feel there has to be a better way since everything I want is readily
available on the Internet.

According to the web site explanation, there isn't an export feature for
Power Investor. On another note, I presently have Quotes Plus and have
not had a problem with it. The information that I received was the fact
that the old version ( 1.1 ) will continue to be used only until
December of this year, at which time you will have to upgrade or quit
the service. Now this is where I have a problem, it is not the fact of
an update, but the fact that it is going to be the only option
available. It doesn't matter that the present version does everything
that I need, and I really wouldn't use any of the new and improved
features of version 2 of Quotes Plus. I simply use MetaStock and use
Quotes Plus as a source of data.
I am looking into several other programs, which have possibilities. They
retrieve the data on the varoius stocks via the internet Quote Servers,
and export to a MetaStock file. Aside from the cost of the program, (
all of which are below $100 ) the daily downloads are FREE !! I am
presently looking at one which will do automatic End Of Day export in
MetaStock format.
So far the down side comments are: You have to enter the symbols
yourself, ( definitely time consuming, even if it is only once ), the
time required to download several thousand quotes, and finally the size
of the daily download ( seems to be around 6K per hundred ).
If there is any interest, I will update what I find out and also would
appreciate additional input.
