It can, but will it?

PAGE 8 - right at the beginning of manual - Undo,Redo
"If nothing is available to "undo" , the command is disabled
Thus:
It will : when available
If not :then disabled
            (N/A Not Available)

PAGE 11 - right at the beginning of manual - Cut, Copy, Paste
"At this point you can perform FUTHER calculations etc. etc."
Thus:
It will : when available
If not : disabeld
            (N/A Not Available)

EXAMPLE:
On your disc, move all your securities to another folder(e.g. C:\Temp).
Now reference to the original folder(standard C:\Ms).
Do you think you will ever see any of your securities when commanding
the programs to "open" in C:\Ms ? No, not ever.
It will be "enabled" when you reference to the new, moved folders'
adress(C:\Temp).

IN YOUR CASE:
Data records for 12 days in the future are today, NEVER AVAILABLE , as
you cannot ever have been able to download them from bourses or from your
data-provider or from anyone anywhere.
No need to TA when future prices are already known, is there?

THOUGH:
With Fixtious data it will (created in f.i. Excel).

AND:
It will on historical data, but consider todays' date to be the final "available" date.
If you want a ref outcome for say 1 year ago (970606) , with the outcome value
from referencing Close 12 days ahead (970618) then:
C - ref (C,+12)
C + ref C,+12)
C / ref (C,+12)
C * ref (C,+12)
all will return TRUE value's and ALWAYS give an outcome
( as data is available and thus "enabled")

THUS:
Put some data to that particular date's record first.
Like using the phone -you have to "add" input - DIAL FIRST
It takes two to Tango!

Mr :
I think you have to read through the Metastock
6.5 menu page244 . IT WROTE IN BLACK AND WHITE
that it can ref data "ahead "

I think you don't understand what we mean .
