Candlesticks

Thought I'd start another thread that has been bugging me for some time:

There is a great deal of candlestick indicators in Metastock which implies 
that there was significant enough interest for the folks at Equis to code it 
all up.  With that in mind, is there a great deal of people who successfully 
use candlesticks, and in what ways?
