Take a look at Pinnacle Data. They offer eod downloads of 57 futures at
$12/mo. plus a one-time charge of $99 for histories on disk as far back
as the futures go, with an additional 300 contracts available for a $54
one-time charge only. They also have an index/breadth database and COT
data. Downloads are over the internet or by direct phone to their BBS
in N.Y. You pay a price in clunky DOS operation (remember DOS?) but it
does create continuously linked contracts in MS and/or ASCII form.
Downloading over the internet is a bit tedious compared to the MS
DownLoader; they are supposed to have their own Windows downloader
coming out later this year. For the index data it helps if you know
something about MetaStock files, ASCII files, and batch files. They are
helpful with queries.
