Sofar on my two laptops it has been one of the very, very few that is running without a hitch and recognises all the hardware without a hitch. 

If Solaris for x86 survives the Oracle acquisition then it is going to be a strong contender for replacing M$N in the office. (I expect it to survive since it gives Oracle the desktop-to-server integration so makes it a one stop shop for businesses. Many businesses want moving away from M$N )
