The basic formula that runs deep in both formulae you posted is
originally coded by GORDON ROSE.
And Gordon coded the pivots afl to help people who are searching to find high pivot and pivot so that they can effectively dig the fibonacci retracements etc and delve into future trading possibilities.

The second part
which probably you might have missed and more dangerous is here.
The arrow for high pivot or low pivot comes after certain number of bars
are completed and these are normally 4 or 5 bars after the signal point.
So that much inbuilt delay is there in the pivot detection.
By the time you see the arrow for low pivot, you are already 5 bars late, to catch the genuine buy level.
So before you apply the above formulae keep your eyes wide open, do lot of paper trading,form your own rules and then jump to live trading using the above pivot based afl.
So you have been warned.

Look up JFC ENTRY POINT over google to find a similar approach based system -may be you get better to think better.
The longest afl need not surely give biggest profits.
Know your system so much in depth that by looking at a certain kind of pattern,you must be in a position to confidently identify what probably comes next.
