Title: Missing formulas when copying AB to another Drive letter

Hello,

It is important to understand that AmiBroker has a BUILT-IN feature to move formulas to new location
and it updates all internal references automatically.
Doing this manually instead of using AMiBroker built-in functionality is the source of problems.

So DO NOT rename/move formula folder by yourself using Windows Explorer.

If you want to move formula root somewhere else, ALWAYS use AmiBroker to do so:

go to Tools->Preferences, "AFL" tab
then click on "Pick..." button in next to "Formula tree root path" - pick the folder where
you want to have your formulas moved to.
Click "OK".
Then "OK" once more to save preferences window.

Then AmiBroker will
AUTOMATICALLY move all formulas into new location picked in step 2 and
will AUTOMATICALLY update all internal references.

Again - you must NOT move or rename any AMiBroker formula directories from Windows Explorer.

To move subfolders use CHART window in AmiBroker.
To move entire root of all formulas use procedure described above.

Subject: [amibroker] Missing formulas when copying AB to another Drive letter

hello,

when I move the AmiBroker folder to another drive letter all charts in all layouts are empty because AB saved the formulas with a drive letter attached to the formula name. The formulas are actually located in the formula folder for the new setup, but AB is looking for them under the old drive letter.

How do I change the drive letter prefix of the formula name associated with the pain so that AB can find the formulas?

thanks,

herman
