[amibroker] Re: AmiBroker default values for standard indicators

I have been using Ami for about 6 years and have never seen a list of parameters for each indicator. The user's guide does not show the default for all indicators either. Some indicators don't have a "standard" default value. MACD for instance. Gerald Appel defines three "standard" periods for MACD, (6,19), (12,26), the Ami default, and (19,39) depending on the market he analyzes.

If you haven't changed the indicator code you can go to the charts tab and edit each indicator you want to know about and look at the parameter default value. The only file or document that you can be sure of is the code itself.

Besides does it really matter? Don't get the idea that one fits all when it comes to parameter periods. Every security has a different period "sweet spot" and the indicator's parameters really need to be tailored for each case and at times for different time frames. Some people even change the periods dynamically as trading unfolds because the periods vary over time.

If there is no other possibility I will do that of course. But I am looking for a kind of file or document showing all default values used within the AmiBroker indicators. I know it exists but cannot find it anymore ...
