<snip>pick up your Encyclopedia of Technical Market Indicators and code some of the more interesting systems in afl, and prove to yourself one way or the other. <snip>

When you work from first principles youdon't need to test every case ... many fo the published trading approaches fail, on principle, so we can spare ourselves the testing time.

My philosphies and the systems derived from them don't appear in print ... at one stage I thought I would pass them on, to one or more people, when I retire but now I am having second thoughts .... I am starting to think that there should be some things, left unpublished, for up and coming traders to discover in the future.

It's more fun for them doing it that way.
