Happy Sunday All,
I've encountered a problem that I have struggled with for about a week
now, find irresolvable and wonder if the group might not mind me
reaching out for some ideas? I am a newbie so this may seem obvious to
many of you but clearly I am stymied.
The setup: have installed 5.24.0 BETA release. Am running windows vista
64-bit home premium edition. running ibController to TWS and streaming
US equties only from eSignal pro. machine is a new quad core I7.
The problem: don't notice any issues with AB but when loading TWS (while
eSignal indicates it is performing) I get a dialgue box appear with the
msg:
eSignal cannot start:
Library C:\Jts\dbcapi.dll cannot be loaded
Current Understanding: cannot load this 32-bit library in a 64-bit
system. Have had multiple chats with tech assistance at IB which ended
with (i quote here)
"currently there seems to be an issue with 32-bit library files properly
registering on a 64-bit OS.." "Are you using a 64-bit computer ? If you
do, then this is a known issue on our side."
Question: has anybody encountered this and are there any known
workarounds?
Thanks in advance -
Richard
