Group,
I am trying to figure out a good (efficient) way to match several user
input dates to control placement of symbols on the screen.
I currently have a loop that checks every user input date against the
current datenumber. Unfortunately even for my very small test sample
of 4 input dates, it takes a LONG time to run (minutes). I don't even
want to try scaling it up to the 20+ dates that I would use on a
typical analysis that I am doing.
So far my ideas are to try the following:
1. Sort the user input dates and then only compare in order
2. Break processing as soon as match found
3. Find a different way to determine date matching
I am currently working on the Break processing (trying a While loop),
but would really appreciate any guidance offered.
Thanks
Blair
