Greetings --

The book, Introduction to AmiBroker, does give you the techniques you need to write your own indicators in afl.

After describing use of the Graphical User Interface, the book describes the afl language and the formula editor.  It shows how to use built-in functions and how to write your own.  It describes the array operations of AmiBroker, and the use of looping code so you can write code that processes data bar-by-bar.  Pages 241 to 270.

Pages 271 to 476 document the functions that are built-in to AmiBroker, giving the syntax and examples.

Pages 529 to 544 give detailed advice and examples to help you write afl code yourself.  Examples include writing looping code and writing functions.

You can see the Table of Contents, Index, and a complete chapter at the book's website:

Mike,

Thanks.  That looks like something I may really need and can use.  I will order it this week.   Do you happen to know how much indicator programing theory the book goes into as far as understanding the programing and learning how to program?

Are you a good indicator programmer?

 Any other suggestions, from anyone?

 Thanks again,
 Lynn
