Thanks.  No chance to backfill, but a look in the Quote Editor as well
plotting the data in another application shows all normal values and no
gaps.

It is just a symbol which does not work in a formula which properly handles
all other symbols.

Mysterious.

Use Symbol > Quote editor to look for gaps in your data. If you don't see
any back fill the symbol and see if that changes anything.
