[amibroker] Brokerage and Data Feed Suggestions?

Hi, I am a beginning trader working on setting up a trading platform
and data feed that I can use for doing some initial paper-trading
tests. I would like to select a platform and data feed which can
transition relatively smoothly to actual real-world use in auto-
trading. It would be great to get the forum's feedback/suggestions re
which brokerage and data feeds are recommended

I have 2 questions:

1) Which trading platform (i.e. brokerage) do you recommend for the
above? Some background: I have tried the Interactive Brokers (IB)
demo version of TWS, but had some problems in terms of getting it to
show trades w/AmiBroker (I used an auto-trading AFL file in
AmiBroker, which correctly generates trades, but TWS seems not to
see/process them). I also had difficulties w/Backfill (it wouldn't
backfill some symbols at all ? I was trying this after-hours).
Ideally, I would like to get something working on a demo/trial basis
before going through the process of setting up and funding an
account, since, if the brokerage platform doesn't end up integrating
well with AmiBroker, it would be time consuming and a hassle to close
the account and start up the same process w/another brokerage.
Alternately, if your experience is that a particular broker is the
way to go and will work once one sets up an actual account (rather
than using the demo version), please let me know?

2) Since the IB data feed seems to only backfill (i.e. provide
historical data) for 180 days, is there another data source that you
can recommend for getting longer periods of historical data, from a
wider range of markets, etc? In other words, do you have any
suggestions regarding which data feed will:
a. be the most straightforward/bug-free to integrate w/AmiBroker and
IB
b. provide quality (cleaned-up) data
c. provide a wide range of markets (including lots of foreign
markets) and asset types (e.g. stocks, futures, ETFs, etc)
d. provide a long history (i.e. can go back a # of decades)?
I am willing to sign up with a data feed service a trial basis, to
make sure it works.

Thanks
