It does not affect other elements (symbols) of the
database.

Subject: [amibroker] Re: Copy Drawn
Studies from One DB to Another?
I'm beginning to understand how this works. From the help
section titled:
"Understanding AmiBroker database
concepts" A database (or a workspace) is a directory that holds
a set of binary files, which are stored in 0-9, a-z, '_' subdirectories. Those
binary files hold quotes, symbol information, your studies (trend lines,
Fibonacci stuff). Each symbol's information is stored separately in the file
with the name of the ticker symbol located in the subdirectory corresponding
to the first character of the symbol, so IBM quotation data/studies are stored
in the 'IBM' file located in the 'I' subdirectory.
I just tried
copying a file tied to ticker QQQQ in the old database and pasted it into the
new database, (after making a backup copy). After loading the new database I
then selected QQQQ and low and behold I have all my studies! Now what I
need to know before I go and copy the rest of the files over is this: What
are the potential consequences of doing this? Not sure how this affects
'other' elements of the database.
I could really use an expert opinion
here. Tomaz?
