You are employing a two part process to get your data to AB:
[1] IQFeed to MS via QCollector.
[2] MS to AB via ASCII import.
If you want to resolve the issue the first thing to do would be to check the data stored in the MS format files. For this you would need the MS Downloader or some other utlility to open the MS format files. If after this you are certain data files are accurate then you can take up the issue with AB support. If the MS data files are corrupted then you have to see where is the fault i.e. at the source IQFeed or the conversion/collection utility QCollector.
I am not aware of how well AB interacts with IQFeed but AB does have a plug-in for IQFeed which I believe is being kept up to date by AB. So why not eliminate all these intermediary utilities and go straight from IQFeed to AB? Do you have other software programs which need a MS format data file??

Hi,
Thank you for your response. How do I ensure that the data is clean? Obviously, it is corrupted, and for many files, and always at the same date. Any way to arrange this?
Thanks,

You have to ensure your MS format files are clean/error free. When performing an import you will see in AB what you have in your MS files. BTW do you get any additional advantage by importing the data instead of using the plug-in provided for MS data which enables AB to read MS format files??

Hi,
I use QCollector for DTN IQFeed and I save the data in metastock format. Then, I import the data to Amibroker.
There is something very weird with many of my symbols. I'm looking at the quotes each minute on 5/5/2008 and everything is normal. Then, after 4:00 P.M. I get strange dates like 10/08/2004 etc. I tried to manyally edit the quotes and delete them, but even if I click "delete" they are not deleted. And this problem is on a lot of stocks...
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Louis
