[amibroker] Re: 'Rule Based' versus 'Discretionary' trading...

Like you, not wanting to distract from the main theme of the thread.

Well, for me clearly the issues at the moment centre around two things...

1. Not having any control over the x-axis and hence being able to
build things cuch as equivolume charts. Or indeed do such things as
match up two symbols in say 200 tick bars that have differing tick
refresh rates (e.g. ES and TICK symbols).

2. Not having the extensibility within the system to 'easily' build
something like true Market Profile as discussed in another thread. I'm
very happy to be proved wrong on this case and shown that it actually
is quite easy to build from sctrach (allowing for such things as
scrolling through historical data, resizing of chart windows, zooming
etc..etc..).

I guess these are the first 'non vanilla' type charting requirements i
have looked at under AmiBroker and I have not yet found an
approachable way to achieve my aims.
