Yes I have superfetch turned off because:
a) I don't like hard disk activity going on for half an hour while Windows try to load everything in RAM
b) its "guesses" about what to cache  are wrong for my use
because they are based on blind statistics on frequency of use, not about *my own* preferences.
Superfetch is another example of Microsoft approach of "where do you want to go today ... scratch that, we know better ! "
(UAC, Windows Defender, Office "Assistant" being other examples).
