To put in my two cents, I am running six montiors using a quad monitor card
from PNY, Quad card runs in a PCIE X 16 slot. Run a 2 monitor card from PNY
in PCIE X 1 slot. Both cards have identical chip sets and use the same
drivers. I understand that this is a similar setup to the ones used by
XVIEW computers. XVIEW builds high performance computers for traders. The
setup will run under XP or Vista but I have only done this with 32 bit
versions of the software
