I haven't had the same problem as you, but problems with the same
version of the IB plugin. My automated paper trading of 1 minute bars
(using repeated scans, delayed 10 seconds between runs) with IB.dll
1.7.0 never maintains the connection for more than 1/2 hour (often less
than 5 minutes), using either the latest TWS (with the new GUI) or the
prior version. The plugin status shows "green" and there are no errors
evident. Manually selecting "Reconnect" forces the connection again,
but not for long.
But if I replace IB.dll with the 1.6.8 version, all works as before,
with either version of TWS. MY AB version is 5.09 beta. My OS is
Windows 2000.
