Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunatley, that doesn't quite capture what I was hoping for. If I
understand correctly, the bar index used by SelectedValue is fixed
during backtesting, and stays fixed until the next user intervention
during charting (i.e. until selection of a different bar).
I was hoping for an easy way to programatically get the current bar
index on a bar by bar basis, regardless of whether I'm charting or
backtesting, and without user intervention.
Basically, I want a "getCurrentBarIndex()" function that returns a
Number such that for any array at any bar I could write
MyScaler = MyArray[getCurrentBarIndex()];
