[amibroker] Re: Pattern Searching within AB

Hello Brian_z,

By price action, I was referring to simply the pattern arrangement of
price (OHLC) over a number of previous bars, maybe coupled with the
relationship with Volume but this is the next stage.

For me indicators are of little use for 2 reasons; (i) they are
lagging and (ii) they are all derived from a combination of price
and/or volume. Therefore, one might as well focus of the raw data in
the first place IMO.

Consequently, I find your comments very interesting. I tried your
link but the page could not be found. Is there any possibility to
repost it, as I would definately be interested in reading what has
been posted.

With regard to Thomas & Pattern Exporer, I agree that the work he as
accomplished there is excellent and would definately be of use to
Traders.

For me though, I really wanted to steer clear of the tradition chart
patterns and instead investigate other possible repeating patterns
based on what I have described above.

Kind Regards,

Chorlton
