Hello,

Look - the tab is just a chart for some symbol, you don't really lose anything
File->New->Default Chart
will re-open your chart.
And studies are still there because they are saved along with symbol and quotation
data and not within a chart.

Also if you want to "prevent" from deleting -
AB won't forbid you closing any tab because it would be somewhat strange
- after all when you press "close" button the application should follow your order.

What you can do however is to go to
Tools->Preferences->Miscellaneous
and UNCHECK Auto-saving of layouts
- so any changes to layout won't be saved automatically
- so even if you delete, the layout after delete won't be saved.

But then you need to be sure to actually manually SAVE the layout
if you want to keep it. Otherwise, it won't be saved and next time you run
AB it will revert to previously saved layout which may mean that you
"lose" your changes.

Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
