I have some questions about Symbols / Catagories screen in AB
Does anyone know
1. how to reference "Markets" "Setting" "Base index for" "Relative
strength" field from afl code
2. how to reference "Groups" "Setting" "Base index for" "Relative
strength" field from afl code
3. how to reference "Industries" "Setting" "Base index
for" "Relative strength" field from afl code
so that when you change from one ticker to the next that RSComp
automatically retrieves the correct index for that sector
I want to compare Relative strength of the stock to its sector index
and compare the Relative strength of the sector index against the
market index.
For example
AEE belongs to Energy sector index XEJ on ASX, XAO is the market
index.
Is AEE out-perfoming its sector index XEJ?
Is its Sector index XEJ out-perforfing the market index XAO?
It is easy to setup the RS indicator, but whe one selects a stock
that falls into a different sector index the RS indicator does not
update with the correct sector index, it remains on the index that
it was initially setup on.
what i need to do is
relstrength( "sector index" )
relstrength( "market index" )
so that when one selects different stock that RS automatically
displays with correct index references.
Regards
Don
