Pretty much what I’ve
experienced, Bill.
‘Save All’ handles Watchlists TLS file changes, but the symbol
tree and index.txt changes won’t be reflected until AB is restarted.
Since the current watchlist order will be saved in or
restored from index.txt, you can save [renamed] snapshots and also change the WL order by resorting index.txt [close AB first!]
[FWIW deleting index.txt will re-arrange the WLs to TLS sort order as expected, but the new index.txt won’t be generated. unless/until
you provide an empty one or make
WL changes.]

watchlist sorting (vers 4.91.1)
I
assumed that symbol >> watchlist >> sort mentioned was for the
"right click on symbol" route. It looks like there are three
routes for getting to sort - right click on symbol, right click on Watchlist
name, symbol tab. I find that all three work sometimes and then (at least
in my case) stop working. Closing/Opening and rebooting AB fixes things
sometimes. When things are working OK, the tab route permits multiple
Watchlists to be sorted. So, when it works "it is very, very good
and when it doesn't its horrid" as the nursery rhyme goes.
The
other problem I have (not been able to play with it enough to be certain
how it happens) is that the Watchlists get out of order, do not appear at
times, or are incomplete. Perhaps this is related to the stop-go behavior
of the sorting function. So far, closing AB and reopening fixes these
problems but I'm sure this is not considered normal operation. I
think TJ indicated that he was aware of display problems which is how I would
characterize this wrinkle as the Watchlist and their content are not affected
-- so far.
Bottom
line - sporadic behavior and no idea why.
Bill

That
menu comes up not only if you “Right click on a symbol
rather than the WatchList name and then WatchList|Sort” but also from the main
menu [Symbol | Watchlist].
I suspect only the latter usage is intended in that invoking the
former from a symbol in All, Markets, Groups or Sectors
makes no sense to me.

This screen shot is what I get with symbol >> watchlist
>> sort. What is different about your menu?
