WOW I must chime in and thank each and everyone.
I'll start from the end and work up in my thanks...
Yuki and Brian I suffer from a little attention deficit so for me
learning is a visual thing backed up by reading. Once I get to
the "nut" of something I am then free to run.
For me in this case the nut is syntacs, what is an identifier vrs
constant vrs operators and separators. When to use brackets and when
not. I pull up an indicator and try to follow how it was written and
the structure and maybe dbw451 said it best when he said to get
a "programming with c/c+ for dummies" type of book. (thanks dbw451)
I will look forward to Howard's book which I ordered and hope that
there are some points for the beginner and then come back to it when
I graduate from an indicator mentality to a "system" train of thought.
I am looking forward to Bill's AB101 ver for 4.9. (Bill would you
drop me a line at mytakeismine at yahoo.com when it becomes
available, thanks)
nhat8888 thanks for your comments, I liked what you said about the
holy grail and fitting ones self. Oh also the read watch and
practice,practice, practice.
dingo hi, are you referring to this AmiBroker User's List? Yes I do a
lot of that, searching yahoo has been my greatest resource along with
the user guide. Sometimes its hard to "filter the noise"
or know what your looking for otherwise you end up with 700 messages
to go through and the yahoo error 300 were busy come back later crap.
Tomasz I'm taking your advice thanks.
And last but not least danielwardadams, Daniel THANKS I will try you
later in the day with an email. I am recovering from shoulder surgery
so I have another 6 - 8 weeks to get some great learning experience
and yes it is frustrating to get hung on a little thing and to know
when to do something and when not to... any help or time would
greatly be appreciated.
I would like to thank All of You... Howard, Dingo, Yuki, Bill,
Dbw451, Tomasz, Brian and Daniel for your time and guidance and look
forward to putting it all together.
best regards
mytakeismine
When you give your time to others I believe you WILL be Blessed. May
you all be blessed handsomely.
